I will continue the remaining explanation for my China trip after this post. Last Saturday, me and 4 of my friends decided to have some short escape to Mount Bromo. Mount Bromo is an active volcano, located in Probolinggo. It is about 3 hours from my hometown (Surabaya). We departed by car at 10 PM, drive casually and arrived at around 1 AM. Along the road close to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, there is many people offered the jeep package, but we decided to ignored them and search later at right before the entrance door of the park.
We asked around and finally got 600,000 IDR jeep package for 4 places (Penanjakan 2, Kawah, Savana, Pasir Berbisik) including the driver. The normal price for the jeep package is around 550,000 – 650,000 IDR. If you travel on budget, all of that places can reach by walking. There is 2 type of Penanjakan (Penanjakan means view point). Penanjakan 1, if we want to see the sunrise and Penanjakan 2, if we want to see the mountain from better view. We prefered Penanjakan 2 at that time. The jeep drop us in the parking area and we must walk to the top for about 30 minute. There is no lamp at the walking pathway, so we need to bring our own lamp.
Kawah, Savana and Pasir Berbisik are located inside of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The entrance fee for the park in weekend is 32,500 for Indonesian and 317,500 for foreigner. We can walk or ride horse (for about 100,000 IDR from the bottom or 30,000-50,000 IDR from the middle) to reach the top of Kawah. Kawah means crater.
For me, the Savana and Pasir Berbisik is not that special. The Savana (means meadow) is not green because its dry season. Pasir Berbisik (means sand) is actually the road path that we pass to go to the crater.
We finished all the places at 10 AM and got back home after that. This trip is short but meaningful because it could refresh my mind from the busy daily activities.
